elumatec company
Elumatec
For Craftsmen. For Industry. For Perfect Profiles.
Elumatec was founded in 1928 in the Swabian town of Mühlacker, located between Karlsruhe and Stuttgart. Initially, we produced sand-cast parts; woodworking machines came later. In the 1960s, we steadily shifted our focus to profile machining for various materials and achieved great success. Our clear focus on the ultimate goal – ensuring and improving our customers’ productivity – has made us a global market leader in the manufacturing of machinery for processing aluminum, PVC, and steel profiles.
Our product range includes more than 120 items, meaning we can meet virtually any requirement. With modular machine designs, we offer flexible and customized solutions for all company sizes and sectors – from small craft businesses to industrial profile machining operations.
With more than 35,000 customers worldwide, numerous awards and recognitions, over 6,000 profile machining centers, a broad range of patents and trademarks, and annual consolidated sales exceeding €125 million, our capabilities are clearly demonstrated. Yet if there’s one thing we’re especially proud of, it’s this: despite growing from a small craftsman business to a global enterprise, we’ve remained a friendly and humble company, embodying the values of small and medium-sized businesses – such as quality, flexibility, character, reliability, and close customer relationships.
One of the key indicators of our product quality is their longevity: many elumatec machines have been operating for over 30 years.
With more than 700 employees and subsidiaries or representatives in over 50 countries, we maintain a global presence. Should the worst-case scenario arise, one of our teams – comprising more than 150 service specialists – can quickly be on-site. Our global spare parts supply ensures a high level of production reliability for your elumatec machinery.
Our passion and commitment lie in developing the ideal solutions for you. See us as a partner who understands your specific needs and tailors its products and services accordingly – we look forward to hearing from you.
Quality
As a leading premium supplier, we focus not only on sales figures but more importantly on maintaining top-tier quality. Our entire production process is governed by a comprehensive quality control system that enables us to respond quickly when needed. Our machines are only considered “market-ready” when they meet our high standards for reliability, performance, and precision.
For us, quality management is a top priority – because quality begins with people, not products. Our guaranteed spare parts supply for ten years or more ensures consistent production reliability. Our concept of quality is built on our closeness to you, and on the knowledge and reliability present at every level of our company – from development and design to manufacturing, sales, and after-sales service. With dedication and passion, we strive to develop the best possible solutions for you, seeing ourselves as both a service provider and a reliable partner.
Environment and Economy Go Hand in Hand
Environment and economy are not opposites – they go hand in hand. Here’s the proof:
Thanks to energy-saving measures introduced in 2011, we save €20,000 annually and reduce CO₂ emissions by 66 tons. A summary of the key initiatives:
Eliminating compressed air leaks:
Compressed air is the most expensive energy source generated from electricity – so leaks are like burning money. Practical experience shows leak rates between 15% and 70% across the industry. By eliminating these leaks, we’ve saved 126,000 kWh of electricity and 66 tons of CO₂ – totaling €180,000 in savings since 2011.
Heat recovery from air
compressors:
Over 90% of the electrical energy used for air compression turns into heat. Without heat recovery, that energy is lost. We use this waste heat to warm storage units, service water, and more.
Additional measures:
Solar panels on the roof of our new headquarters generate electricity for our own use. In addition, by using low-energy servers, we’ve cut electricity consumption by 500 kWh per week.
Every four years, we conduct an energy audit to ensure we consistently meet our sustainability goals – and you benefit too. Resource savings reduce costs, allowing us to offer competitive market prices in the long term.
